From as long as I can remember, looking at living creatures moving in their every day routines made me curious of the origin and mechanics of the movement process. Since then my life was destined to be wrapped around Dance & Sports.
At a young age I left home for a professional
classical dance education. After a period of 6 years at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague I was 17 and ready to pursue my dancing career.
I lived and worked in Tel Aviv for 4 years. While dancing with the classical ISRAEL BALLET of Bertha Yampolski I got to know Ohad Naharin’s BATSHEVA DANCE COMPANY. Modern dance became the new focus! Back in The Netherlands professional life continued with an endless list of dance productions where I cooperated with the likes of Ted Brandsen, Johan Greben, Hans van Maanen, Itzik Galili en Tamara de la Fuente, just to name a few. What an intens and interesting time, what a well of experiences that was!
…All beautiful things come to an end though. The tiring life of performing one production and at the same time rehearsing the next started to take it’s toll. It became time to look further.
Since then I focus on physical education through my classes on Classical & Modern Ballet and Pilates. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with my students and clients.
